Baseball Safety Gear and Bats and The Effect it Carries

As in any other game, safety of the players is equally important in a game of baseball. When the game first started, the catchers did not wear any protective gear. Today however no player enters the field without his safety gear. The safety gear includes a face-mask, chest protector, a helmet, shin guards and cup. The effect of protracting the players is important first for their safety, and as any other person who bet on sports, he wants to see is top performers play and play safe.

In olden days the bats used in baseball were made of wood. As the game became more formal, rules were laid for the specific size and thickness of the bat. Today’s bats are forty two inches in length with a diameter of 2¾ inches at its thickest. Generally White ash wood is used as it has better shock absorbing quality.
